Recognising School Environmental Projects

Each year SFSF holds a special event to highlight the best of school environment projects and bring together teachers, students and SFSF sponsors.

Our Presentation Day offers great opportunities for teachers to meet their peers from other schools with strong environmental programs, share ideas and promote their successes.

This years major presentations will come from Cobden Technical school which has won Waste Wise Awards Energy Smart Awards and has integrated its approach to sustainability throughout the school program. Presenters will include teachers and students and will be a must see event for secondary schools keen to improve their environment programs.

At the primary level Ina Keulich from Mt Waverley Nth PS will highlight an approach to the environment which covers grounds development through the Hands on Learnscapes program and integration into the Science and SOSE curriculum.

The day will also feature awards to schools which have participated in the SFSF Community EcoNewsletter project.

Major sponsors for this EcoNewsletter are EcoRecycle Victoria, City of Monash, ACU and Parks Victoria and, as always, there will be the opportunity for schools to set up their own environmental displays and make presentations.
